CONTINUING EDUCATION 

   All Building Code Officials, Inspectors and Plans Examiners are required to earn at least .5 CEUs (5 hours) annually to maintain certification by ICC and the WV State Fire Commision. Both agencies require certification renewal every three(3) years.

   Both agencies will forward renewal notice on forms specified in that notice. WVCOA is an ICC Preffered Provder and as the WV Chapter all training provided meets ICC standards. Should you or your jurisdiction attend training requiring verification, forward a written request noting the training specifics, including the instructor, content, time involved and any other pertainent information to President Bob Cannon
